Kuissential is a relatively new brand of consumer products. It was established in 2011. Its parent company is SCS Direct which has been making consumer products such as houseware, toys, baby products, and outdoor living products for almost 20 years. The Kuissential brand in particular makes kitchen and coffee products, and they have one bread machine in their lineup.
Immediately you will notice from the packaging of their bread machine that they try to be less archaic than their competitors. The user manual is printed in large fonts and simple English. It’s nicely spaced out and they print only the essential so you don’t have to fish through unnecessary text as you would with some other user manuals. It’s quite pleasant and easy to read through the whole manual, whereas with other manuals you would probably skip more than half the booklet.
Another thing we noticed is they try to make the customer buying process pleasant. Sometimes after you purchase a product and you try to follow-up with the company, you either get no replies or something less than satisfactory. This can be frustrating. But Kuissential encourages customer feedback and communication. They want to use that to improve their products and make sure their customer is happy with their purchase.
Our Kuissential BMC-001 Review
It doesn’t seem like the Kuissential bread maker is sold in stores. If you go to their online site you will be redirected to Amazon to make your purchase. But some Kuissential products are sold at big-box stores like Walmart so you might be able to find their bread maker there.
We can tell you that this is a simple, basic bread machine. It has 13 programs as far as pre-programmed settings go. You can adjust the crust to light, medium, or dark. In reality these settings will only turn out for the crust on the sides and bottom. We noticed that the crust on the top doesn’t brown as much. This is probably because it doesn’t have a heater on the lid. The more expensive Zojirushi BB-PAC20 has a lid heater so you get even browning on all sides. But for a basic bread machine we didn’t expect the Kuissential to have this feature. So it wasn’t too big of a letdown.
The Kuissential makes loaves of 1.5 or 2 pounds. This should be more than enough for most families. We would consider it a medium-sized bread maker.
One thing that’s a little different about this bread maker is that you will find all the recipes on the Kuissential website. You’ll find recipes for banana bread, cakes, white bread, cinnamon rolls, gluten-free breads, and more. The recipes tell you which cycle to use and are easy to follow. The great thing about having the recipes online is that they are searchable. So if you want all the recipes for, say, gluten-free breads you can search by gluten-free breads. We find this to be a better experience than searching for a recipe inside a book.
In terms of performance, this bread machine produces the recipes well. It’s quite foolproof so even the novice bread baker can bake delicious bread as long as you follow the recipes, making sure to follow the order in which you add the ingredients.
At first it may seem like the Kuissential doesn’t have a lot of programs. But it actually covers a lot of styles of bread and recipes. It’s probably less confusing to use than the bread machines that have more than 30 programs.
One thing we want to note is that it has a fruit and nut dispenser. This is a great feature and we were surprised it came with one because it’s such a basic bread machine. So this is a big plus. By being able to add fruit and nut later they won’t run the risk of being crushed while the dough kneads.
Another feature that’s quite common among bread machines is the delay timer. You can set this one to bake at a later time of up to 13 hours. When using the timer, be careful not to use ingredients that will spoil. For instance it’s best to replace fresh milk with powder milk.

Summary
While Kuissential isn’t as established as some of the other bread machine brands, its BMC-001 2-pound bread machine performs better than some of the other machines we’ve seen. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a simple, budget bread maker that bakes quality bread. And it has a fruit and nut dispenser to boost.

Concluding Thoughts
The Kuissential BMC-001 is a good-value bread machine. It’s hard to find a bread machine in its price range that has a fruit and nut dispenser. This is one of its most attractive features. The Kuissential handles all recipes well and is easy to use. We are impressed by the simplicity of its user manual and the quality of their customer service. It’s really easy to hop on their website to ask for support or send them an email for a quick response. And you can search through bread machine recipes online to find the ones you only need, instead of having to flip through a recipe book. The Kuissential would appeal to anyone looking for a quality, budget bread maker.

Is the bread pan removable? Also, is it vertical or horizontal loaf?
Hi Janet,. Pan is removable and locks in place with a 1/8th turn.
Non-stick pan and paddle. Paul in Napa
1/ Is the bread pan tefflon coated?
2/ Does the mixing blade pull out…fold down or remain stuck to the base of the loaf?
3/ Is the loaf baked vertical or horizontal.
4/ Is the bread pan removable?

I have one of your bread machines that I ordered thru Amazon. I have used it three times and today(Sunday) I decided to make pizza dough for dinner. Loaded it up and put the dough in the container and locked it in and set it for dough cycle . It made noise but the paddle did not turn. I waited a few minutes to see if it would start to turn but it did not turn. Emptied it out and started over with new mix and it still did the same thing. Looked in my manual but there is no troubleshooting section. Please tell me what I can do to correct this. This machine has only been used three times and just to make pizza dough! Thank you
The belt on my machine broke. The company told me they don’t stock internal repair parts. While this has been a great machine, I’m not sure I want another one like it since it seems it can’t be repaired if/when something goes wrong.
